Shared services arm of CITADEL puts focus on process optimization

CITADEL Global Services underscores the importance of achieving process efficiencies.

CITADEL Global Services now occupies an office space at the bustling and modern area of Bonifacio Global City at the Fort, Manila. The shared services unit underscores the importance of achieving process efficiencies.

“Our mission is to standardize and consolidate back office functions by employing best practices and appropriate skill sets to strengthen internal controls. This includes raising the quality of service extended to the entire group while consequently improving costs,” says CITADEL Shared Services Manager Russel Lagdan. He says that such standardization will promote professional and strategic partnerships among companies.

With the unit fully operational, a number of functions are expected to resolve processes such as multiple system platforms and limited access to relevant information. These would apply to a number of the company’s departments comprising Finance, Procurement and Human Resources.

A number of projects are slated for the rest of the year to maximize the unit’s potential in addressing every area of inefficiency. “Heavy data migration is scheduled this year, and will be followed by creation of policies and implementation of tools,” adds Lagdan.

Since the Global Services’ inception early in January 2017, trainings, system access and role assignments have been successfully achieved.
